Personally, I don’t believe fragrances should be limited by time of day or season—you should wear what makes you feel good, whenever you want.
That said, many people naturally lean toward lighter, floral, or airy compositions during warmer months. These two fragrances capture that summer feeling in very different yet equally beautiful ways.
1. This Is Not A Blue Bottle 1.2 – Histoires de Parfums
This fragrance was a long-time wish for me, and it completely lived up to my expectations. From the first spray, it feels joyful and uplifting. The opening is soft and creamy, filled with gentle florals that feel fresh and almost dewy, as if touched by morning air. As it develops, subtle warmth appears through sandalwood and white musk, giving the scent a smooth, slightly spicy depth without becoming heavy.
2. Char – Henry Rose
A warm evening scent can be just as essential in summer as a fresh daytime fragrance. Char was my introduction to the Henry Rose brand, and it left a strong impression. This perfume feels intimate and sensual, with soft vanilla tones that make it perfect for summer nights. It has a cozy warmth without feeling overwhelming, making it easy to wear even in warmer weather.
Summer scents don’t have to follow strict rules. Whether you gravitate toward soft florals or deeper, warmer notes, the most important thing is how a fragrance makes you feel. Both of these perfumes offer something unique, proving that summer can smell however you want it to.
