One interesting thing about me is that while I don’t particularly enjoy roses as flowers, I absolutely love rose-based fragrances.
In perfumery, rose can feel modern, spicy, fresh, or even mysterious—far from the traditional idea many people imagine. These three perfumes showcase just how versatile and captivating rose can be.

1. Tom Ford Rose

This fragrance leaves a strong impression from the first spray. The rose here is vibrant and layered, balanced with subtle spice that gives it depth and character. What truly stands out is its performance—it lasts effortlessly throughout the day without losing its intensity.

2. Le Labo Rose 31

This fragrance was my introduction to Le Labo and the reason I became such a fan of the brand. The opening feels fresh and energizing, with bright citrus notes that instantly lift the composition. As it settles, musky tones emerge, giving the rose a clean and understated feel.

3. Floris A Rose For

A Rose For by Floris offers a more classic interpretation of the note, yet it never feels dated. The scent is lively and fresh, with a gentle brightness that keeps it light and elegant. There’s nothing heavy or sharp about it, making it ideal for special moments when you want something graceful and memorable. It feels timeless, like a quiet celebration of tradition and beauty.
These perfumes prove that rose can take on many different personalities—from bold and spicy to clean and softly romantic. Even if you’re not drawn to roses themselves, rose fragrances can be surprisingly enchanting. Each of these scents offers a unique experience, making them perfect for exploring just how versatile this classic note can be.
