Lykkers, I have always been the type of person who keeps a lip gloss nearby. Even on days when I do not feel like doing a full makeup look, adding a little shine to my lips somehow makes me feel more put together. There is just something about a glossy finish that feels fresh, pretty, and easy.
Recently, I have been reaching for two glosses more than others: BLP Beauty Lip Vinyl Blossom and Dior Beauty Lip Maximizer 040 Intense Blueberry. They both give that beautiful shine I love, but the feeling they bring to my makeup is completely different.
1. BLP Beauty Lip Vinyl Blossom — 4.8/5
I gave BLP Beauty Lip Vinyl Blossom a 4.8/5 because this is the kind of gloss I can use without overthinking. I usually grab it when I am running out the door, doing simple makeup, or just want my lips to look a little more alive. The shade Blossom has a soft and pretty vibe that works with almost everything. I love wearing it with blush and minimal makeup because it gives my face a fresher look without feeling like I tried too hard.
The texture is also one of my favorite parts. It feels comfortable, has a nice shine, and does not make my lips feel weighed down. My only reason for not giving it a perfect score is that I sometimes want a stronger pop of color when I am going for a more dramatic makeup style. Still, this is the gloss I keep reaching for on normal days because it is easy, flattering, and always looks good.
2. Dior Beauty Lip Maximizer 040 Intense Blueberry — 4.9/5
Dior Beauty Lip Maximizer 040 Intense Blueberry gets a 4.9/5 from me because it feels like a little luxury moment in my makeup routine. Every time I use it, it gives my look a more polished feeling. The Intense Blueberry shade is what makes it stand out. It has that beautiful berry tone that adds more personality than a clear gloss but still feels wearable. I love wearing it when I am going somewhere nice or when I want my makeup to look a bit more special.
The packaging also makes it feel like a treat. It is the type of product I enjoy seeing in my makeup bag because it feels elegant and exciting to use. I took off a tiny point because the shade is not always the one I choose for a very natural makeup day. But when I want a gloss that feels fancy and eye-catching, this one wins.
Between the two, BLP Beauty Lip Vinyl Blossom is my everyday favorite, while Dior Beauty Lip Maximizer 040 Intense Blueberry is my “I want to feel extra pretty today” gloss. Both have their own place, and honestly, that is why I enjoy having more than one lip gloss in my collection.
