Korean Toners Worth Trying

Toner has become one of my favorite parts of skincare, especially when the formula gives me more than just a watery layer before serum.
Korean skincare does this really well, with ingredients that target different concerns while keeping the textures enjoyable to use. I picked four toners that stand out for their formulas, textures, and the kind of skincare routine they can fit into.

1. Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner

Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner is an easy one to notice, especially with its 77% heartleaf extract. I like lightweight toners that don’t leave a sticky finish, and this type of texture works nicely when I want to layer skincare afterward. A little poured into my palms and pressed onto the skin is my preferred way to use it. It also works well as an extra layer when I want more hydration without reaching for a thicker product.

2. Hanson Hyaluron Skin Essence

Hanson Hyaluron Skin Essence takes the toner step in a more essence-like direction. Hyaluronic acid makes it particularly appealing for my routine when I want extra hydration before serum and moisturizer. I like applying a small amount and letting it settle before adding another product. The extra hydration can make the following skincare steps feel smoother, especially when my skin has been feeling dry.

3. MadeCera Creas Double Essence Toner

MadeCera Cream Double Essence Toner is made for anyone who enjoys a toner with a little more substance. The essence-style formula makes it feel different from those ultra-thin toners that disappear almost immediately after application. I’d use a few drops after cleansing and gently press it in with my hands. It gives my routine a more nourishing feel without requiring several additional layers.

4. Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner

Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner brings licorice extract into the routine, which is what makes it stand out to me. I’m drawn to skincare that combines a simple step with an ingredient that has a clear purpose. I like using toner straight after cleansing, and this one can be applied with either a cotton pad or clean hands. For a routine focused on a fresher, more even-looking complexion, it makes a particularly interesting addition.
Anua brings heartleaf into the spotlight, Hanson gives the routine a hydration boost, MadeCera adds an essence-like layer, and Acwell focuses on licorice and pH-balancing care. I’d happily rotate between them rather than expecting one toner to do everything.
