Recent Conservation Work

The building has also undergone conservation and upgrading work under the Ipoh Heritage Tourism Package 2. According to MBI, the project began on 22 November 2022 and was completed on 20 May 2024.

The work included conservation, restoration, and upgrading of Ipoh Town Hall, with the building being developed as an arts performance centre. The project was intended to improve visitor facilities and strengthen heritage tourism in Ipoh’s Old Town.
